ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico conservative radio host is taking election night coverage beyond the traditional broadcast format, bringing together radio, television and social media for a locally produced livestream as voters decide some of the state’s highest-profile races.

Elias Sisneros, host of “Unfiltered with Elias,” will join Abe Baldonado of The Chile Wire for “Race to the Roundhouse: Election Night Livestream” beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The event will air live on KDAZ 96.9 FM and 700 AM and KNMQ television channel 20.1, while also streaming across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.. KNMQ serves the Albuquerque-Santa Fe market, while KDAZ operates a conservative talk format in the Albuquerque area.

The production represents an expansion of Sisneros’ growing presence in New Mexico political media and an effort to provide election coverage through platforms that reach audiences beyond traditional outlets.

Sisneros hosts a weekday afternoon program on KDAZ, where “Unfiltered with Elias” airs live from 2 to 6 p.m. He has described himself as a conservative and has built much of his political commentary around state government, public spending, crime and accountability.

Tuesday’s program will come as New Mexicans determine the state’s political leadership for the next several years.

The general election is set for Nov. 3, with Democrat Deb Haaland and Republican Gregg Hull competing to replace term-limited Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham. Haaland, a former congresswoman and U.S. interior secretary, and Hull, a former three-term Rio Rancho mayor, won their respective party nominations in June.

Voters will also decide a U.S. Senate race, all three of New Mexico’s congressional seats and several statewide offices, in addition to legislative and local contests.

For Sisneros and Baldonado, the livestream marks another step toward building a local political media operation around live programming and digital platforms rather than relying on a single broadcast channel.

By combining radio and five major social platforms during one of the biggest political nights of the year, “Race to the Roundhouse” will give New Mexico viewers and listeners another option for following results and political developments as they unfold.
